✋🏼 I am Lou, an architectural designer at RU+PA, where my main focus is leading the design process for a modular social housing project with 340 apartments in Amsterdam. Here, we strive to create a high-quality living environment, catering to those who really need it.

Beyond my role at RU+PA, I freelance for private clients, specializing in home renovations, interior design, and bespoke plywood furniture pieces. Additionally, I'm the co-founder of Rideposter, where I design posters showcasing cycling routes, sold to cycling enthusiasts like myself.

    For over a year I was part of a think tank focused on establishing a local, circular makerspace in Amsterdam-Noord. The goal was to support creative individuals in turning their ideas into products or works of art. During my membership, I played a role in setting up a pilot project at a wood workshop at the NDSM wharf. Here, dozens of participants had the chance to learn about working with various materials, machines, and the CNC milling machine.

    Our initiative has garnered attention…

    For over a year I was part of a think tank focused on establishing a local, circular makerspace in Amsterdam-Noord.     Our initiative has garnered attention from the municipality and the European CENTRINNO project, but so far, we have not been successful in taking it to the next level.
